Job Description - Library Aide Downtown & Schaumburg
We are interested in someone who can work up to 12 hours per week at the Murray-Green Library in the Auditorium Building, also one position for 12 hours per week at the Schaumburg Campus Library. Schedule to be determined later.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes using the library’s Voyager Circulation client to search simple bibliographic information for patrons, perform routine Circulation functions such as checking books and in out of the library, renewing, inputting and updating patron records. Answering phones and some filing. Assist patrons with photocopiers, printers, microfilm, and simple PC problems.
Assist in the packing of ILL book bags for ILDS shipment. Requires ability to bend and lift book bags and push book carts. Pick up mail bags from mail room.
Retrieve, shelve, and search for missing books and journals from library book stacks. Assist in the shifting of library materials.
Assist ILL LTA with scanning, faxing, and photocopying of articles. Requires using a scanner, fax machine, and microfilm reader printer.
Help with other routine ILL tasks as assigned by the Access Librarian or the ILL LTA. Required: Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service. |
