Have you heard that the library’s subscription to Value Line Investment Survey, a premiere stock evaluation service, is now available from off-campus?
Yes! You can log in from the library, computer lab, or at home and search to your heart’s content. How to do it? Just follow these easy steps:
Go to the library website, www.roosevelt.edu/library . Click on “Online Resources A-Z”. Choose “V”, then click on Value Line Investment Survey.
Now, at left is a list of choices: choose “Lookup Industry” or “Lookup Company”. In the search box, type in either an industry or company name. The industry search page lists the 99 industries tracked by Value Line – it may be just as quick if you scroll down through the list. The company search page lets you do a search by company name or by ticker. In either case, just click on the PDF icon to bring up the Value Line report. It’s a one-page executive summary giving the current outlook for the company or industry.
Value Line not only helps you in determining what stocks to buy for your investment or retirement portfolio, it can also help in doing research on a company or industry for your business classes. Mergent Online is also a good choice for business company research.
